Where MonkerSolver is still the right tool
Two honest cases. If you play Pot-Limit Omaha, MonkerSolver solves it and IkaSolver doesn't. And if you already own a Monker licence and a machine with the RAM to match, plus a library of solved preflop ranges you trust, there's no reason to throw that away. Multiway without the memory bill
Multiway trees are big. Every extra player multiplies the nodes, and a solver that keeps the whole tree resident at full precision needs RAM to match — which is why full-table preflop solving has traditionally meant a dedicated machine. IkaSolver is built to keep those trees small: smart board abstraction with K-means bucketing, a compact tree representation, and an engine that runs over 10 million combo-hand iterations per second across every core you have.

Bounties change the answer
This is the gap that matters most for tournament players. In a progressive knockout, eliminating a player pays a bounty that grows through the event — so a call that's wrong in chip-EV can be clearly right once the bounty is in the pot. A chip-EV solver gives you the strategy for a tournament that doesn't exist. The engine and the interface are separate processes. Run the solver on a rented 64-core box, or the desktop under your desk, and drive it from anywhere with live stats streaming back over WebSocket. Does IkaSolver solve multiway pots like MonkerSolver?
Yes. IkaSolver solves NLHE from preflop or any postflop street with 2 to 9 players, with full ranges for every player at every node. Multiway is the default, not a special mode.
Does IkaSolver solve PLO?
No. IkaSolver is a No-Limit Hold'em solver. If Omaha is your main game, MonkerSolver is the more complete choice; if you play NLHE tournaments — especially PKO and bounty formats — IkaSolver models those directly.

How much RAM does IkaSolver need for a multiway tree?
It depends on the tree, and IkaSolver tells you before you start: the RAM estimate is shown when you configure a solve, so you can adjust abstraction or sizing rather than lose a long solve part-way through. Most full-table preflop and multiway postflop trees fit comfortably on a 16 GB machine.
